An L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) division has received a $9.3 million contract to provide the U.S. Air Force with a system for training pilots to operate the E-3 airborne warning and control system aircraft.
The sole-source contract also includes program management, flight training simulation and logistics support services, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
L-3’s link simulation and training division will perform the work in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and is scheduled to finish by the end of this year.
The Air Force is obligating $3, 107, 206 at the time of the award from the military service’s fiscal 2015 operational and maintenance funds.
