Eren Ozmen: Sierra Nevada Targets Unmanned Tech Growth with Kutta Acquisition

acquisitionSierra Nevada has acquired Phoenix-based unmanned vehicle command and control systems developer Kutta Technologies for an undisclosed amount.

Eren Ozmen, Sierra Nevada president, said Thursday that Kutta holds 15 years market experience and will add a range of technical offerings to Sierra Nevada’s unmanned technology portfolio through the acquisition.

Kutta offers C2, visualization, communication, airspace deconfliction and unmanned-manned teaming platforms that are designed to comply with U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and NATO standards.

The business will operate as a wholly owned Sierra Nevada subsidiary and provide support to the company’s integrated missions systems business area.
