Marci Kaminsky Appointed Chief Comms Officer at Grant Thornton; J. Michael McGuire Comments

Marci Kaminsky, formerly senior vice president of corporate relations at The Allstate Group, has joined Grant Thornton as chief communications officer and will oversee the company’s reputation management and communications strategies.

“Marci brings three decades of strategic communications skills to our firm, including Fortune 500 leadership experience in corporate communications, public relations and corporate responsibility, ” said J. Michael McGuire, Grant Thornton CEO, said Wednesday.

At Allstate, Kaminsky managed the company’s public affairs, business communication, issues management and executive communications.

She also held leadership roles at Stryker Corp., United Airlines, USG, BMO Harris Bank, NutraSweet and Quaker Oats and is a member of the Chicago Network and Arthur Page Society.

She also served on the WTTW‘s board of trustees and the Joffrey Ballet and Chicago Children’s Museum board, as well as served as vice chair of the Children Affected by Aids Foundation.
