Johns Hopkins’ APL Awarded $405M for Special Operations Analysis, Studies

laboratoryJohns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory will carry out analysis work and studies in areas related to science and technology for Special Operations Command under a five-year, $405 million contract.

The Defense Department said Tuesday APL will also perform experiments, engineering and developmental work in order to apply investigative findings and theories for SoCom.

SoCom is obligating $656, 428 in fiscal year 2015 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
