Lookingglass Cyber Solutions has closed its purchase of network security firm CloudShield in a bid to deliver a comprehensive threat defense platform in the commercial and government markets.Chris Coleman, CEO of Lookingglass, said Monday the company seeks to further leverage threat intelligence and introduce new strategies to help customers protect networks through the acquisition.
CloudShield developed a deep packet processing technology for organizations to combine policy enforcement and network monitoring to mitigate cyber threats.
Lookingglass’ Scout threat intelligence management offering is designed to allow users to increase their network visibility and continuously analyze threats.
CloudShield will relocate its headquarters from Sunnyvale, California, to Arlington, Virginia and operate as a division of Lookingglass.
