He will report directly to CEO Mike Gregoire and provide legal guidance on corporate governance, litigation, contracts, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, compliance and securities, CA said Monday.
“His experience with technology and software-as-a-service will be very valuable as we expand CAâs portfolio in cloud computing, ” Gregoire said.
Bisignano previously held a similar role at technology firms Blackboard and Online Resources, as well as served as a special counsel for law firm Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo.
He started his career as an attorney at Millbank Tweed Hadley and McCoy and worked for Morgan Stanley as an investment banker before practicing law.
