Engility Holdings (NYSE: EGL) has been awarded five-year, $38 million contract to engineer and integrate the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s system for detecting and combating weapons of mass destruction.

The cloud-based Constellation Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction system is designed to assess threats through a common environment for government agencies to share and analyze data, Engility said Thursday.

“The Constellation program will increase our capability for detecting, understanding and forecasting WMD threats, which is a vital component in protecting our nation, ” said Tony Smeraglinolo, president and CEO of Engility and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 list for 2015.

DTRA also intends fto help interagency and international partners collaborate to counter WMD threats through the program.
