Jim Propps: DLT to Deliver Red Hat Products to Social Security Administration

cloudITDLT Solutions will provide enterprise-grade Red Hat software and services to the Social Security Administration under a potential five-year blanket purchase agreement.

The company said Tuesday SSA seeks to consolidate orders for Red Hat platforms and related consulting and training services across its organization by using the strategic sourcing method.

“With the expanding adoption of open source technologies by government agencies we are enthusiastic about SSA’s efforts within their Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative initiative, ” said Jim Propps, DLT director of sales for enterprise platforms.

The contract allows the agency to purchase Red Hat’s Enterprise Linux, JBoss Middleware, Virtualization and CloudForms products from DLT.

DLT launched a Cloud Navigator tool earlier this year with the goal of helping government customers find cloud-based offerings.
