Rick McAlpin, a 20-year veteran at Parsons and its former internal audit manager, has been appointed to the role of operations shared services director in charge of the company’s project operations departments.
McAlpin will oversee contracts, procurement, quality and project controls and risk for Parsons’ nonfederal business, the company said Thursday.
“Rick is a broad-based executive with a proven track record of improving a variety of operational functions within Parsons, and we’re excited to have him take on this important position, ” said Tom Roell, group executive for operations and risk at Parsons.
Also serving as chairman of the company’s ethics committee, Â McAlpin has worked on various assignments during his tenure at Parsons, including business development and finance, as well as risk management and governance processes in his previous role.
He will be based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in Pasadena, California.
