PwC Vet Scott Hefter Joins BCG as Public Sector Practice Partner, Managing Director; Sharon Marcil Comments

Scott Hefter,  Boston Consulting - ExecutiveMosaicScott Hefter, a former management consulting and analytics leader at PwC, has joined The Boston Consulting Group as a partner and managing director at BCG’s Washington-based public sector business.

The 25-year advisory services veteran will work with public sector customers to adopt business strategies from the private sector, ” BCG said Thursday.

“He brings a wealth of corporate and government experience that will prove invaluable to our clients, ” said Sharon Marcil, a senior partner for BCG’s public sector practice in North America.

BCG appointed former acting Internal Revenue Service chief Daniel Werfel as a public sector director practice leader earlier this year.

Hefter previously served as CEO of management consulting firm PRTM, which PwC acquired in 2011, and has helped form joint ventures and worked in more than 20 countries worldwide.

Consulting magazine selected Heftner to its list of the top 25 most influential consultants in 2012.
