Bonnie Smith Named IT SVP for Eaton’s Industrial Sector; Craig Arnold Comments

Bonnie Smith, formerly a vice president for information technology at Thermo Fisher Scientific, has joined Eaton (NYSE: ETN) as senior vice president of IT for the industrial sector.

Smith will report to Craig Arnold, vice chairman and chief operating officer for the industrial sector, and will be based out of Cleveland, Eaton said Monday.

She also holds IT experience from Abbott,  DuPont,  McKinsey & Company and Whirlpool.

“We believe her experience will help us further leverage our information technology resources to truly differentiate Eaton in the marketplace, ” Arnold said.

Smith holds a computer science degree from Indiana University in Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in Illinois.
