Eric Hess, formerly chief operating officer at background screening services firm First Advantage Corp., has joined investigative services contractor KeyPoint Government Solutions as CEO.

Hess led First Advantage’s work to deliver data assets to more than 45, 000 clients around the world and is a former senior vice president at LexisNexis, KeyPoint said Monday.

At LexisNexis, the 25-year industry veteran served as SVP of global operations for the company’s risk solutions arm.

Jeff Schlanger, whom Hess succeeded as KeyPoint’s CEO, said Hess brings experience in data analytics and work for both commercial and government enterprises to the company.

Schlanger has returned to public service after 11 years as chief executive and will continue to sit on the board of directors, KeyPoint said.

Hess has served on the Transportation Department‘s Federal Advisory Committee for the Transmission and Storage of Electronic Drug Testing Information.
