Battelle Buys Healthcare Accreditation Colloquium; Robert Wilkins Comments

acquisitionBattelle has acquired hospital membership organization Healthcare Accreditation Colloquium for an undisclosed amount in an effort to help hospitals implement safe medical care procedures.

Robert Wilkins will serve as CEO of Colloquium, while the organization will operate as a subsidiary and be renamed The Healthcare Colloquium, Battelle said Monday.

Colloquium’s healthcare process improvement systems will be integrated with Battelle’s analytics portfolio with the goal of identifying operational gaps.

Wilkins said the acquisition is intended to help further process improvement aims for patient care in hospitals.

Tony Joseph, founder of Colloquium, was named chief strategic officer for The Healthcare Colloquium.

Colloquium works to apply process improvement systems for treating critical illnesses.
