PPL Susquehanna has selected Day & Zimmermann to help operate a nuclear power plant under a three-year contract.
Day & Zimmermann will provide labor support services for the northern Pa. Susquehanna nuclear plant, which the company said is one of the largest in the U.S.
Gary McKinney, president of Day & Zimmermann NPS, said the company will look to leverage its past experience in the area in its efforts to help PPL Susquehanna achieve its business goals.
PPL companies have about 10 million customers electricity and natural gas customers in the U.S. and the U.K, according to the announcement.
The plant houses two boiling water reactors that work to generate approximately 2, 600 megawatts in combined power.
