Taylor Pickett and Philip Hawkins, respectively the CEOs of Omega Healthcare Investors Inc. and DCT Industrial Trust Inc., have been elected to Corporate Office Properties Trust‘s (NYSE:OFC) board of trustees.
Picket’s appointment took effect Thursday and Hawkins will begin to serve on the COPT board starting Jan. 1, the company said Thursday.
Thomas Brady, COPT chairman of the board of trustees, said Picket and Hawkins bring their real estate industry experience to the board.
Pickett has led Omega Healthcare Investors since 2001 and previously held leadership roles at Integrated Health Services, PHH Corp. and KPMG.
Hawkins assumed the CEO role at DTC Industrial Trust in 2006 and has served in various executive positions at other firms such as CarrAmerica Realty Corp. and LaSalle Partners Ltd.
He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.
