Johns Hopkins University Applied Research Laboratory has been awarded a $9 million contract from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency to develop technologies that work to counter weapons of mass destruction.
The DTRA will issue task orders to JHU/APL through September 2016 under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Department said Monday.
JHU/APL will conduct research, develop technology, perform analyses and work to integrate systems to support non-proliferation, counter-proliferation, consequence management and warfighter mission objectives.
The DTRA also intends for the work to support the country’s mass destruction-related counterforce, consequence assessment, defeat and arms control aims.
