Dr. S. Gulu Gambhir, formerly acting chief technology officer at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has been appointed to the role of corporate CTO.
He will lead the company’s technology office and work with science and technology organizations to target investments and to develop and recruit technical talent, Leidos said Monday.
Gambhir joined the company in 2009 when it was known as SAIC and serves as a sector CTO for four years and most recently held that role for the national security sector.
As a sector CTO, Gambhir worked to help national security customers identify and define technology priorities and was responsible for aligning internal research and development with business growth opportunities.
Gambhir also has tough engineering courses to post-graduate students at George Washington University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.
