Amanda Brownfield, former CEO of Applied Insight, has been appointed to the same position at the Cape Canaveral, Florida-based logistics and technical support providerIAP Worldwide Services.
Her new role involves overseeing IAP’s strategic initiatives while working closely with the board of directors and executive leadership team to meet its business objectives, according to her official bio.
The company said Wednesday that Brownfield has almost three decades of leadership experience at public and private companies.
She served as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, XVIII Airborne Corps, from 1993 to 1997 and transitioned to industry when she joined Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC).
Brownfield led programs, projects and profit-and-loss accounts during her 15-year career at SAIC. Her career also included time at TASC, Engility and Geospark Analytics.
