Jacobs Technology Wins $742M for NASA Langley Center Research, Maintenance

JACOBS logo_GovConWireJacobs Technology has won a potential 10-year, $742 million contract to help NASA operate research facilities and develop new technology at the agency’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va.

NASA awarded the contract as a follow-on to the Research Operations, Maintenance and Engineering contract held by Jacobs and to continue the agency’s 20-year revitalization plan for Langley, NASA said Tuesday.

The hybrid contract contains a core cost-plus-award-fee component for sustaining services and an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity component comprising of firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-award-fee provisions.

Tullahoma, Tenn.-based Jacobs Technology will also help operate central utilities and perform facilities engineering.

Jacobs Engineering Group, the parent company of Jacobs Technology, is leading a team of 11 companies on a potential seven-year, $1.93 billion contract for engineering and technology work at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
