Report: ATK In Talks to Buy Weapon Accessory Firm Bushnell for $1B

ATK logoATK (NYSE: ATK) has entered into negotiations to buy gun accessory manufacturer Bushnell Outdoor Products for approximately $1 billion, Reuters reported Monday.

Olivia Oran and Greg Roumeliotis write Bushnell has called in financial services companies Morgan Stanley and Robert W. Baird & Co. to examine a potential sale.

Oran and Roumeliotis report Bushnell bought hunting products company Primos Hunting in April.

Bushnell was acquired by MidOcean Partners in 2007 from Wind Point Partners and engineers weapon components such as binoculars and night vision tools, as well as GPS devices for outdoor sports.

Bushnell’s brands include Butler Creek, Final Approach, Millett, Night Optics, Stoney Point and Tasco.
