The country’s government contractors have identified sequestration, growth and lowest price, technically acceptable programs as the key challenges they face in 2013, the Washington Post reported Monday.
Jennifer Sakole, Deltek principal research analyst and author of the report, writes the top concerns were gleaned from Herndon-based Deltek’s recently concluded Surviving Sequestration Road Tour.
Sakole writes companies see indecision in spending and that has led to delays in projects, solicitations and contract awards.
Participants and panelists on the tour also raised the challenges posed by contracts decided by price and several speakers proposed steps to avoid being undercut by lowest price, technically acceptable bidders.
