Wyle to Analyze Air Force Composite Material Lifecycle Costs

Wyle logo_GovConWire Wyle has won a $4.6 million contract to analyze factors that potentially affect lifecycle costs of military aircraft systems that use composite materials for the Air Force Institute of Technology.

The Defense Technical Information Center and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s reliability information analysis center awarded the contract, Wyle said Tuesday.

Roger Wood, a Wyle program manager, said the company has previously used engineering and testing approaches to develop, implement and executive programs for logistics, management and acquisition.

Wyle personnel will investigate and analyze data with the goal of addressing reliability, modes and patterns, safety and risk areas and support issues such as parts obsolescence and training.
