Northrop Wins $490M Air Force Training Interoperability Support IDIQ

Northrup GrummanNorthrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has won a potential $490 million contract to provide follow-on support services to the U.S. Air Force for training systems and simulators.

Northrop will work to help create interoperability of dissimilar systems under the Distributed Mission Operations Network 2.0 service contract, the Defense Department said Thursday.

The firm-fixed price, single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is for the Combat Air Force Distributed Mission Operations and Integration program.

According to the Pentagon, the Air Force received two offers through a full and open competition.

Work will occur in Orlando, Fla. through June 30, 2018 and could continue through June 30, 2023 if the Air Force exercises all options.
