The five-year contract includes an order for 546, 000 M107 explosive projectile parts and work will occur at General Dynamics’ ordnance and tactical plant in Scranton, Penn. through March 2018, Rep. Matt Cartwright’s office said Thursday.
Cartwright said General Dynamics has previously built projectile metal parts and components for large caliber cannons and artillery.
General Dynamics is also building M110A2 metal parts and M1E1 burster casings under a separate $125.1 million contract, awarded in September 2012.
