General Dynamics Wins $125M for Army Casings

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has won a position on a potential $125.1 million contract to provide the U.S. Army projectile metal parts and burster casings, the Defense Department announced Wednesday.

Under the firm-fixed-price contract, the company’s ordnance and tactical systems unit will produce the M110A2 metal parts and M1E1 burster casings through Sept. 23, 2017.

The Army will determine work location based on each order and the U.S. Army Contracting Command’s office at Rock Island, Ill. is the contracting activity.

Under a separate $385 million contract with the Army, the company is leading a team to develop new radars at four of the branch’s testing ranges.

Contract funds will cover both production and integration phases.
