DynCorp Wins $388M to Upgrade Army Aircraft, Property; Jim Myles Comments

DyncorpLogoDynCorp International has won a potential $388.5 million contract to help the U.S. Army refurbish rotary-wing aircraft and government-furnished property and equipment in Texas.

The hybrid firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-incentive-fee contract contains one base year and four one-year options and was awarded through the Army Field Maintenance contract vehicle, DynCorp said Wednesday.

Jim Myles, group vice president of aviation, said the company will continue working in the Army’s west region for regional aviation sustainment maintenance.

Myles added the company has previously performed this work under the Contract Field Teams program.

The company could also support transient and rotational units, aircraft in joint training exercises, mobilization and pre-mobilization aircraft and certain foreign military sales cases under the contract.
