German business software maker Software AG has the financial flexibility to make any acquisition worth up to $1.3 billion, finance director Arnd Zinnhardt said in a German weekly Saturday.
Reuters reports Zinnhardt said the company is well positioned in terms of its operating activities and balance sheet.
He added that the company is on the lookout for businesses in cloud computing or in big data analysis.
According to Reuters, the firm’s biggest acquisition was that of business process management software maker IDS Scheer for $375, 817, 900.
In July, Dell (NYSE: DELL) agreed to purchase Quest Software for $2.4 billion as part of expansion efforts into the software market, which includes increasing intellectual property.
