CGI FY 2012 Revenue Jumps 13%; Michael Roach Comments

CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB) has announced financial results for both its fourth fiscal quarter and full fiscal year 2012 ended Sept. 30, 2012.

Including six weeks of results from Logica, which CGI acquired for $2.73 billion, CGI reported a 13 percent revenue increase from the prior year, going from $4.22 billion for fiscal 2011 to $4.82 billion for fiscal 2012.

Revenue for the quarter was $1.61 billion when factoring in the acquisition, representing a 60.1 percent increase from the prior year period.

“We continue to expect the combination to generate an accretion rate of 25 percent to 30 percent in fiscal 2013, excluding acquisition related and integration costs, ” said Michael Roach, chairman and CEO.

Bookings for the full year were $5.22 billion, or 109 percent of revenue, and the company reported $17.68 billion in total year-end backlog.

Cash generated from fiscal 2012 operations was $613.3 million, or 12.9 percent of revenue, with the fourth quarter generating $109.3 million cash from operations.
