CGI Federal Inc., a CGI Group (NYSE: GIB) subsidiary, recently won a $143 million contract to provide operational environment support to the U.S. Army, the company announced today.
The U.S. Army’s Mission Contracting Office at Fort Eustis awarded the contract with a one-year base and two one-year option periods.
“The TRADOC G2 requires sophisticated capabilities in technology and training—rooted in deep mission understanding—in order to prepare soldiers for the complex operational environments they face today and tomorrow, ” said Barb Fast, CGI VP for Army & Defense Intelligence Programs.
Under the terms of agreement, CGI will support core functions of the operational environment of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command.
CGI said it will perform a range of analytical and technical services encompassing 12 broad task areas which include training operations management, support for Information, Surveillance and Reconnaissance integration, data analysis, and modeling.
The services called for in this contract will support all TRADOC G2 major support organizations, Centers of Excellence, Army schools, and Army Combat Training Centers nationwide.
