Lockheed Wins $85M For AF DC Regional IT Work

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won an $85, 549, 227 contract to provide information technology services to the U.S. Air Force within the Washington region, the Defense Department announced Monday.

The company’s integrated systems unit will perform both classified and unclassified IT services for nearly 18, 000 users that are less than 300 miles from the Pentagon.

Users include the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, National Military Command Center, Air Force Headquarters and other agencies linked with the Defense Department.

According to the Pentagon, work under the fixed-price incentive-fee contract should finish by June 30, 2014 and Andrews Air Force Base, Md. is the contracting activity.

The company also holds a $420 million contract to operate and maintain a civilian personnel data system for the Defense Logistics Agency.
