The Melbourne, Fla.-based firm announced Wednesday the Falcon III AN/PRC-152A wideband handheld tactical radios will support the USSOCOM Capital Equipment Replacement Program and tactical radio modernization.
The initial delivery will be made under the company’s recently awarded $400 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, which also includes provisions for AN/PRC-117G multiband manpack radio orders.
The AN/PRC-152A uses the company’s Adaptive Networking Wideband Waveform to deliver real-time Type-1 secure voice, video and data, according to the announcement.
Harris also said it will add the Joint Tactical Radio System Soldier Radio Waveform to the AN/PRC-152A radio later this year.
