GDIT Names Stanley Tyliszczak Chief Engineer; Ray Whitehead Comments

General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business unit has appointed Stanley Tyliszczak staff vice president for technology integration and chief engineer.

The company said he will manage its longterm technology plan and roadmap and will report to Rich Mendelowitz, the unit’s chief technology officer.

Ray Whitehead, vice president for business development and strategic planning, said Tyliszczak has led strategic technology initiatives at GDIT for nearly 10 years.

Tyliszczak will advise and support efforts to expand the company’s cybersecurity, data center consolidation, cloud computing, big data and IT infrastructure portfolios.

The company said he will also oversee internal programs to encourage innovation and collaboration.

Tyliszczak has worked with defense customers in both the public and private sectors for nearly three decades, according to the release.

He recently served as a member of TechAmerica’s Commission on the Leadership Opportunity in U.S. Deployment of the Cloud, known as CLOUD2.

On April 14 GDIT also named James McManamon vice president of the Navy and Marine Corps services area, where he will manage business development and planning.
