Technical and Project Engineering LLC will compete for task orders to support U.S. Navy cryptologic programs and information warfare programs and projects on a $47 million contract.

The Kingstowne, Va.-based company said work under the five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will occur at the Space and Naval Warfare Command’s systems center in Charleston, S.C.

President and CEO Louisa Jaffe said the company has had an office in Charleston for two years and is a member of the Charleston Defense Contractors Association and the Charleston Chamber of Commerce.

The company’s next step is to hire Charleston-based professionals, said contract lead Mark Mohler, vice president for programs, acquisition and engineering.

The company will also compete to support command, control communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs.

Work will support shore, surface ship, submarine, aircraft and ground mobile projects.
