ManTech International Corp. (NYSE: MANT) has completed its acquisition of a Sacramento, Calif.-based software security company for an undisclosed amount of cash, the company announced Monday.

HBGary supplies threat and targeted malware detection tools to commercial customers in the financial, energy and technology sectors.

The Fairfax, Va.-based information technology firm will merge HBGary into its mission, cyber and intelligence solutions group and form a commercial business unit within the group.

Group President Bill Varner said ManTech aims to also broaden its cybersecurity offerings for public sector clients through the deal.

Ken Silva, senior vice president of cyber strategy, will lead the unit.

The company recently appointed Bradley Little senior vice president for business development in its systems engineering and advanced technology group.
