Accenture 2Q EPS Jumps 27%, Revenue 12%

Accenture (NYSE: ACCN) has released financial results for the second quarter of its 2012 fiscal year ended Feb. 29.

The company reported second quarter revenue grew 12 percent over the second quarter of 2011 to 6.8 billion, as diluted earnings per share jumped 27 percent to 97 cents over that period.

Quarterly operating income increased 15 percent year-over-year to $889 million with an operating margin of 13.1 percent.

Health and public services generated $1.1 billion in net revenue, representing a 9 percent increase over the prior year period for that operating group.

Geographically, $3 billion of net revenue came from the Americas, while $2.8 billion came from Europe, Middle East and Africa and $971 million from Asia Pacific.

Accenture reported new bookings stand at $7.94 billion, split between $4.05 billion in consulting bookings and outsourcing bookings of $3.89 billion

The company also declared a semi-annual cash dividend of 67.5 cents per share.
