Northrop Wins $333M Contract for Air Force Infrared Countermeasures Hardware

Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) has won a $333, 659, 831 U.S. Air Force contract to provide hardware and associated support for large aircraft infrared countermeasures.

The Defense Department said the award was given under a firm-fixed price, undefinitized contract action for calendar years 2011 and 2012.

Northrop will perform work in Rolling Meadow, Ill.

The Pentagon expects Northrop to complete work by Feb. 10.

The Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
