Alion Wins $73M Award to Support Navy’s Surface Warfare Fleet

Alion Science and Technology has won a not-to-exceed $73, 238, 387 contract to provide the U.S. Navy with professional support services for the branch’s surface warfare fleet, the Pentagon has announced.

Under the bridge contract, Alion will continue provide the support throughout an interim period between the expiration of a previously awarded SeaPort-e contract and the new SeaPort-e follow-on.

Alion will receive $22, 911, 792 at the time of the award. Those funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The majority of work will be provided in Washington, D.C. and Norfolk, Va. The Pentagon expects the work to be completed by November 2012.
