SRA Int’l Sells Global Surveillance Subsidiary to Czech Defense Firm

SRA International (NYSE: SRX) has sold its subsidiary ERA Systems Corp. to Czech defense and aerospace company Omnipol AS for an undisclosed amount, according to a Bloomberg Businessweek report.

ERA produces surveillance solutions with sensors and radars and has research and development centers in the U.S. and Czech Republic, according to an SRA brochure.

ERA counts military and air traffic management customers in more than 40 countries and Bloomberg reports that ERA says its “Vera” passive surveillance system can detect stealth jets. SRA originally bought ERA in 2008.
