ManTech International Corp. (NASDAQ: MANT) has closed its acquisition of information technology provider Worldwide Information Network Systems for $90 million cash.
ManTech gains WINS’ prime position on the Defense Intelligence Agency‘s Solutions for IT Enterprises contract, an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity vehicle with a $6.6 billion ceiling and performance period that runs through 2015.
ManTech expects the acquisition to increase its earnings per share in 2012.
WINS will become a part of ManTech’s mission, cyber and technology solutions group led by William Varner.
“WINS innovative IT capabilities fit well with our existing business, ” Varner said. “With WINS we will be able to offer our customers more comprehensive solutions to overcome their complex network challenges.”
“WINS is a great fit for our strategy of broadening our reach in the growing areas of national security technology, such as cyber security and systems integration, ” added ManTech Chairman and CEO George J. Pedersen.
