CSC JV Wins Max $270M Award for Navy Base Telecom, Public Safety Support; Alan Weakley Comments

The U.S. Navy has awarded Kings Bay Support Services, a joint venture of Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) and the Shaw Group (NYSE: SHAW), an eight-year contract to provide base operations support services.

The contract is worth up to $270 million if all options are exercised. It includes one base year, four one-year options and three award options.

The joint venture will provide the support at the Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, Ga. beginning Dec. 1.

The companies will support operations in the areas of:

  • Public safety and security
  • Telecommunications
  • Technical management and facilities support
