Agile Defense JV Receives $162M Air Force Contract for C2 Systems Modernization; Rick Wagner Quoted

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has awarded a joint venture between information technology services providers Agile Defense and BuddoBot the $162 million Systems, Infrastructure, Applications, Operations and Maintenance Services contract.

Agile Defense said Wednesday the SIAOMS contract tasks the Agile-Bot II JV to modernize, maintain and integrate into a Department of Defense or commercial cloud environment the command and control systems of the Air Mobility Command.

SIAOMS has a base period of performance of one year and comes with four option years. Work under the contract will support more than 20,000 users of AMC’s C2 systems.

Rick Wagner, a Wash100 awardee who was recently appointed CEO of Agile Defense, said the company understands AMC’s need to provide partners with capabilities and how critical it is for Agile Defense to align its services to AMC’s mission.

“This award demonstrates how industry is forging partnerships to shape holistic end-to-end IT infrastructure management and solutions to sustain the warfighter’s critical operations,” Wagner added.
