Booz Allen Wins $70M in AF R&D Awards for Situational Awareness, Anti-Terrorism

Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) has won three U.S. Air Force cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery requirements contracts worth a combined $69, 851, 911.

Booz Allen will perform research and development to:

  • improve warfighter situational awareness and ability to identify battlefield threats
  • help the Navy invest in technologies that protect warfighters from technological and biochemical warfare, natural disaster, terrorism and insurgency
  • limit terrorist and enemy threats in an overseas Marine Corps environment

Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., is the contracting activity for each award.

The Department of the Navy has launched a small business set-aside competition for a potential five-year, $97.2 million contract to set up command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and information technology infrastructure at shore facilities.
