BAE Systems Secures $36M Production Contract for ALE-55 System

The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command has awarded BAE Systems a $36.7 million full-rate-production contract for its ALE-55 integrated defense electronic countermeasures subsystem.

BAE will manufacture additional:

  • ALE-55 system onboard electronic frequency converters
  • fiber-optic towed decoys
The company will also provide technical support and continual engineering efforts.

The ALE-55 System will be incorporated into the Naval Air Systems’ Strike Fighter fleet. Work is expected to be complete in summer 2013.
