AECOM Appoints Vahid Ownjazayeri to EVP Position to Persue Mega Deals

AECOM Technology Corp. has appointed Vahid Ownjazayeri as executive vice president and chief strategy officer for business lines to lead global growth strategy efforts.

The company said he will place particular emphasis on leading mega project pursuits and developing relationships with global contractors.

Ownjazayeri previously served as executive vice president of the Shaw Group‘s environmental and infrastructure division and as presdient of its commercial, state and local division.

Prior to that,  Ownjazayeri was AECOM’s senior vice president and U.S. national director for transportation. He previously served as AECOM’s northeast region manager and vice president of marine, intermodal and freight.

“We are delighted that Vahid has rejoined AECOM, ” said Fred Werner, AECOM’s executive vice president for business lines. “His exceptional leadership skills and vast experience will be important to leveraging a more-intense business line focus in our established and emerging markets and geographies.”
