BAE to Maintain, Modify USS Preble on Potential $18M Navy Contract

BAE Systems has won a $14, 545, 851 contract modification to definitize the USS Preble fiscal 2011 dry-dock selected restricted availability.

The company will plan and execute depot-level maintenance, alterations and modifications that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities.

This modification includes options which can bring the modification value to $17, 847, 213.

Contract funds in the amount of $14, 545, 851 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by March 2012. The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
