Juniper Appoints Honeywell’s Iyer as SVP and CIO, Dell’s Garvin as SVP of Manufacturing

Juniper Networks has appointed Bask Iyer as senior vice president and chief information officer and Martin J. Garvin as senior vice president of manufacturing operations.

Both will report directly to Juniper Executive Vice President of Service, Support and Operations Mike Rose.

Iyer will implement a strategic plan that aligns Juniper’s IT systems with its growth agenda. He will also protect Juniper’s critical information, intellectual property and physical resources.

Iyer most recently drove IT vision, strategy and operating plan as Honeywell‘s CIO and was previously its transportation systems’ CIO and general manager of its Asia Pacific operations.

Garvin will drive Juniper’s manufacturing and supply chain strategy. He comes from Dell, where he was responsible for strategic leadership and global supply chain operations as senior chief procurement officer. He has also held leadership positions at NetEdge Systems, Logitech, Sun Microsystems and HP.

“I am delighted to welcome such strong additions to the Juniper team, ” Rose said. “Bask is a seasoned leader with deep knowledge and experience in diverse industries, which will benefit Juniper as we continue to execute our vision for the new network and extend our business into new market segments. Marty’s wealth of procurement, operations and supply chain management experience will play a vital role in the company’s continued growth and success.”
