Parsons Teams with Chemical Weapons Specialist on $950M IDIQ

Parsons has teamed with performance improvement firm General Physics Corporation to work on the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s cooperative threat reduction program.

The five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a one-year extension has a ceiling of $950 million. Parsons is one of four integrating contractors for the congressionally mandated and funded program.

The program seeks to reduce world arsenals of WMDs. It was established in 1991.

“GP has provided decades of training, engineering and operational services supporting the reduction of U.S. Army chemical weapon stockpiles domestically and looks forward to working with Parsons on the CTRIC II WMD reduction initiative globally, ” said David H. Ziegler, Sr., GP’s director of chemical weapon destruction programs.
