Army Awards Lockheed Martin $59M Contract Modification for Aegis Engineering Services

The U.S. Army has awarded Lockheed Martin, Mission Systems and Sensors (NYSE: LMT), Moorestown, N.J., a $58, 940, 452 cost-plus-fixed fee, cost-plus-fixed fee with performance incentives, and cost-plus-award fee modification to a previously awarded contract. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Under the modified contract, Lockheed Martin will exercise options for fiscal 2011 Aegis platform systems engineering agent activities and Aegis modernization advanced capability build engineering.

Work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J., and is expected to be completed September 2012. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
