According to the Department of Defense, “L-3 (NYSE: LLL) is being awarded an $8, 774, 586 modification to a previously award cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-11-C-0012) to exercise an option for engineering and technical services in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Special Communications Requirements Division. Services will support legacy, current and next generation telecommunication and related C-E system requirements for various Navy, Army, Air Force, special operations forces, and other agencies. Work will be performed at St. Inigoes, Md., and is expected to be completed in July 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.”
