Boeing Snaps up 5 Defense Deals; ManTech, Booz Allen Also Claim Work

According to the Department of Defense, “Boeing (NYSE: BA) was awarded a $88, 101, 000 firm-fixed-price contract for enhanced medium altitude reconnaissance and surveillance system contract which encompasses a 24-month engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) base effort for four EMD units with an option for an additional to EMD units.  The contract includes options for a total of six low rate initial production units and interim contractor logistics support.  The total performance of the contract, if all options are exercised, is 42 months.  Work is to be performed in Ridley Park, Pa. (33 percent); Wichita, Kan. (38 percent); Hudson, N.H. (14 percent); and Salt Lake City, Utah (15 percent), with an estimated completion date of Nov. 29, 2012.  Bids were solicited on the World Wide Web with six bids relieved.  CECOM Contracting Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-11-C-S801).

“Boeing was awarded a $50, 676, 000 firm-fixed-price contract.  The purpose of this contract modification is to obligate funding CH-47F Cargo (Chinook) helicopter production Lot 10 long lead items.  Work is to be performed in Ridley Park, Pa., with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2013.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  U.S. Army Contracting Command, CCAM-CH-A, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-08-C-0098).

“Boeing was awarded a $36, 798, 422 firm-fixed-price contract.  This contract is for the test support and training, software, and fielding efforts for Early Infantry Brigade Combat Team low rate initial production Set 1.  Work is to be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (73 percent); Vienna, Va. (26 percent); and Albuquerque, N.M. (1 percent), with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30. 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  TACOM Warren, CCTA-AB, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-09-C-0452).

“Boeing was awarded a $10, 744, 087 cost-no-fee contract for the procurement of Early Infantry Brigade Combat Team low rate initial production Set 2 long lead items.  Work is to be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (17 percent); Bloomington, Minn. (66 percent); and Wilmington, Mass. (17 percent), with an estimated completion date of Jan. 31, 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  TACOM, Warren, CCTA-AB, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-09-C-0452).

“Boeing is being awarded a $16, 944, 000 delivery order against a previously issued order basic ordering agreement (N00019-05-G-0026) for supplies and services required to upgrade 39 F/A-18C/D aircraft for the government of Kuwait under the Foreign Military Sales program.  Upgrades will include the modification/installation of tactical aircraft moving map capability, Miniature Airborne Global Positioning Receiver 2000 with selective availability anti-spoofing module, and cockpit pressurization warning system.  Work will be performed in Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base, Kuwait (90 percent), and St. Louis, Mo. (10 percent), and is expected to be completed in June 2014.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

“ManTech (NASDAQ: MANT) was awarded a $44, 543, 138 time-and-material contract.  This contract is for one LOT supplies and services required to manage, monitor, and maintain equipment operational readiness of route clearance vehicle, explosive ordinance disposal vehicles, elected area clearance equipment and countermine equipment operating in Southwest Asia.  Work is to be performed in Iraq and Afghanistan, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 31, 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  TACOM-Warren, AMSTA-AQ-ADED, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-08-C-0516).

“Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) was awarded a $31, 100, 000 firm-fixed-price/cost-plus-fixed fee contract.  This contract is for 350 Wolfhound systems, as well as managing, producing, testing, validating, delivery, and supporting the services and products associated with the Wolfhound system.  Work is to be performed in Red Bank, N.J., with an estimated completion date of Oct. 18, 2011.  Bids were solicited with three bids received.  CECOM Acquisition Center, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-11-C-S403).”
